A Message from Mrs. Ormsbee
Greetings Herbison Woods Families!
It's hard to believe it is December already, and winter break is right around the corner! Please have your child remember to bring the appropriate winter gear as the weather gets colder.
This coming Monday, December 4 at 8:00am, your child's first trimester grades will be accessible in Infinite Campus. Please take time to review them with your child and discuss their progress and successes. Our second trimester is underway, and soon we will be on to our next benchmark of the year. We are excited to see their progress!
Sincerely,
Alicia Ormsbee
Principal
Tie Dying with the Dean
Students who raised $150 or more for our Color Run Fundraiser, earned a special activity with the Dean. Mrs. Nowak tie dyed shirts with students this past week in our Makerspace!
Paper Product and Personal Care Drive at HWE
Our students at Herbison Woods collected many donations in our Paper Product and Personal Care Drive. Students in Ms. Murray's class helped load donations into the truck for the DeWitt Community Christmas Project.
Herbie Buck Store Donations
Students love to spend the Herbie Bucks they earn for being respectful, responsible and safe at the Herbie Buck Store each month. We are always accepting donations such as small candies, school supplies, small toys, etc. In addition, we have also put together an Amazon Wish List of items that we feel our students may enjoy. We appreciate your generosity and are grateful for your support!
Music Notes from Mrs. Broughton
Music Share Day is coming up!! Music Share Day will take place December 18-21 during your child’s scheduled music class. Students are encouraged, but not required, to perform or share something musical. Please limit the performance to 2 minutes. Whatever is shared must be appropriate for school (lyrics/content).
The schedule for Music Share Day is listed below.
Students may bring their instruments or special objects to school the day of their share day and are allowed to store them in the music room if they don’t want to put it into their locker.
*YouTube videos must be emailed to me at least the day before Music Share Day. I will not play random YouTube videos that I have not previously approved.
Thank you,
Mrs. Broughton
Spirit Days coming to HWE
