Principal's Corner
Thank you for joining us here at Herbison Woods Elementary! We are fortunate to be surrounded by exemplary teachers, staff members, and students on a daily basis and I hope you feel the same way too!
To give you a glimpse of my background, I grew up in the small town of Stanwood, Michigan and am a third generation Spartan. I attended Michigan State University for my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and went on to pursue my Master’s in Educational Administration K-12. I taught in Okemos and was an elementary assistant principal at Reed City Area Public Schools before joining DeWitt. I live in Saint Johns with my husband and dog. We are outdoor enthusiasts, love to cook and bake, and are certain to keep up with Spartan sports!
I have a firm belief that all students are able to learn and should have access to do so. I believe that as educators, we have opportunities to make a difference in the lives of our students each and every day. I strive to bring these two principles to life. As your child’s building administrator, you can count on me to provide a safe and welcoming environment, foster a rigorous academic experience, and collaborate with a wonderful staff to ensure your child has the best educational experience possible.
